We are a community committed to one another in all circumstances of life. We value the gifts of every person and strive together to become who God has created us to be.

Open Door Church is a non-denominational Christian church. We meet Sunday mornings at 10:15am, Wednesdays at 5:30pm, daily for morning prayer at 7:30am, and provide opportunities for spiritual care and devotion throughout the week. While Open Door is a Christian faith-based organization, religious adherence is not a requirement for participation in any of our programs.

Open Door Community Center is located at 1916 13th St. The Community Center provides a place for people to spend time, develop relationships, access resources, and participate in classes. The Community Center is a drop-in center and serves as the only day shelter in Lubbock. The Community Center provides shower and restroom facilities, a phone, mail service, and secure locker storage for program participants. Daily classes include addiction recovery, anger management, art, job skills, veterans’ support, and spiritual health. Weekly Community Meals are served on Wednesday evenings and breakfast is available every morning. Each week, Open Door staff helps people obtain vital records such as birth certificates and identification cards. Open Door staff connects people to resources across the community.
